Hackergal is a Canadian non-profit organization that introduces girls in Grades 6-9 to learn code through their signature hackathon program.
During the Hackergal Hackathon, girls work in teams to code their own story in a fun and interactive way. In the weeks prior to the Hackathon the girls are led through a series of scaffolded coding lessons to prepare for the nationwide event. Hackergal participants have online access to the coding platform at home so parents and guardians can follow along too. Our SRA hackathon takes place during Computer Science week.
