TakingITGlobal.org is celebrating 20 years since founding their youth organization, that aims to inspire, inform and involve youth, in local and global projects. TakingITGlobal has also shared with our school copies of books that they have made available to the Connected North program partner schools, as a way for students in our school to continue to learn about Indigenous perspectives. In appreciation of these donations, we asked TakingITGlobal how our school can help the organization and/or communities in Canada. They mentioned that an elementary school in Nunavut would like to begin a small music program for their students, but did not have any instruments. The school is in Maker Lake, Nunavut. Our school donated 2 guitars to their organization through our Casual Days collection. We thank all students and families for supporting our Faith in Action contributions!
