Flyer: Invitational Virtual Meeting
In an effort to support students with Special Education needs who are planning for a successful transition from elementary to secondary school, Student Services are inviting Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of students in Grade 7 and 8 who are currently accessing Special Education supports to attend an evening virtual information session to learn more about the following topics:
- the transition process from elementary to secondary;
- the nature of Special Education programs and supports at the secondary level;
- requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), the Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC) or the Certificate of Accomplishment;
- types of courses, specialized programs and post-secondary pathways available to students with identified learning needs: and
- other key information to support the transition process.
